Organized by Scherago International, the 59th AACC annual meeting and 2007 clinical lab expo was held from July 15 to July 19 in San Diego, a beautiful harbor city of California. Over 600 companies and factories with about 700 boothes and at least ten thousand visitors from across the world participated in the expo. The global giants in clinical lab Abbott, Beckman, BD, Sysmex, Olympus and Meriux were all present. The US Department of Commerce’s provided the expo with very strong support. Its worldwide branches organize official delegation to take part in the expo every year. Invited by US Shanghai consulate general, department of commercial service, general manager Steven Sun joined the official group led by an IVD specialist and paid an official and business visit to US and attended the AACC annual meeting and the expo from July 11 to July 24.The trip will contribute to international cooperation and trade and widening the outlook of ENCODE development.
  Sources say that the next year’s annual meeting is scheduled to be held in Washington DC, the capital of US form July 29 to July 31,2008.
